Bat droppings known as guano carry many viruses and diseases. Histoplasmosis is a disease that is closely associated with the guano.
The disease primarily affects the lungs and can be life threatening, particularly to those with a weakened immune system. It is transmitted when a person inhales spores from fungus that grow on bird and bat droppings.
Rats posed are a major health concern because their urine and droppings, as well as the fleas on their bodies, may transmit diseases. Rat flea cause plague and rat cause rat bite fever, Leptospirosis and Murine Typhus.

However, for mosquito breeding habitats that cannot be permanently removed, a competent pest control operator should be engaged to look out for them with insecticides and fogging to prevent breeding.
